What is the SMECO Marketplace?
The SMECO Marketplace is an online store developed for SMECO’s residential members. It is intended to provide information about, and access to, energy-saving products to help SMECO members lower their energy use.
Who is eligible to participate?
Who is eligible to participate?
All of SMECO’s residential members are eligible to purchase products with instant rebates applied through the SMECO Marketplace. Eligibility will be verified in the online store using each member’s SMECO account number or service address at checkout.
How can I confirm my eligibility?

Upon checkout, members will be asked to enter either their SMECO account number or service address to confirm eligibility for
product rebates. Please contact SMECOMarketplace@icf.com for questions regarding eligibility.
Are there any limitations?
Are there any limitations?
Yes. Each member can only purchase a limited number of incentivized products per year on the SMECO Marketplace, as listed below. Members who purchase the maximum number of incentivized items cannot purchase additional products.
Eligible members may order up to three smart thermostats, four advanced power strips, four smart plugs, two dehumidifiers, three air purifiers, six aerators, four shower heads, and six weatherstripping products from 2024 through 2025.
Eligible members may receive one complimentary Energy Efficiency Kit starting on January 1, 2023.

SMECO accepts payment by MasterCard, VISA, Discover, or American Express. Credit card payments are preauthorized during the checkout process, but charges are not posted until after the order has shipped. The order will be released upon receipt of payment. It is not possible to have the purchase applied through your monthly electric bill.

Orders ship via the U.S. Postal Service. A USPS tracking number will be issued and USPS will deliver the package to your address.
Orders typically arrive within five to seven business days. Certain products may require additional processing time, prior to shipping. Due to the changing nature of service alerts issued by USPS, your item may take longer to arrive than this window.
Orders over $49 (after rebates are applied and before taxes and fees are added) ship for free. Orders $49 and under (after rebates are applied and before taxes and fees are added) ship for a flat rate of $8. Once an order has shipped, the shipping fee is non-refundable.
The member’s shipping address must be a valid SMECO residential service address within the state of Maryland.
